CMO.......how long does it take???

Just thought id post my experience so far with CMO. I called them with my exes consent to make a claim for child support, he has a case open with his ex after me for their child. I decided after almost 6 years of being stubborn and struggling that I should get some support from him for our 2 children.
I called them beginning march and started my claim, the woman was great but my god the ammount of passwords and special place/names/dates etc to give them and write down for when you call them again-a lot of security questions. I paid my £20 fee and got the ball rolling, I got a letter on 16 march stating that my application was in process and that they would now be contacting my ex.
Fast forward almost 2 months, I was told that they needed to move his other ex over to CMO and then do all the assessments on his income etc with him. She was supposed to have been transferred over by 19th april apparently, well last wednesday id still heard nothing and neither had my ex husband so I gave them a call.
The lady I spoke to said they were very busy, and that yes she had my case on her desk-then when she got the file out, she was supposed to have called him 10 days before to get all his info!!!!!!! She said she was gonna call him the following morning, so i told her the best times to and let my ex know to expect her call. Since then, nothing yet again. My ex is now away in wales with the kids, his new gf and her kids so nothing is gonna be done until next week now at the earliest again, plus there was the bank holiday to take into consideration.
One question i do need answering and forgot to ask them, does my claim start from the day I made the application and therefore mean Im owed csa from march???
I will keep you updated on my progress with this!!

No, as you ex has another case on a different child maintenance system, your maintenance can't begin until his other case has been closed. Legally, they have to give the other receiving parent 30 days notice that her case is being closed and after that period they can then write to your ex to tell him the start date for your application.I often use a tablet to post, so sometimes my posts will have random letters inserted, or entirely the wrong word if autocorrect is trying to wind me up. Hopefully you'll still know what I mean.0

So an update....last week I got a letter saying they had worked out the calculations based on my exes wages etc and that my first payment is due 8th july, so woohoo!! Only trouble is, the letter says its based on his wage from last year, and the last time we spoke he said he had to send a 3rd wage slip in to get them to calculate the amounts based on what hes currently earning. So I don't know if i'm going to get the payments as due yet. Hes about as much use as a chocolate fireguard about being forthcoming with info.
I had a call from the csa last week and failed the security questions as I forgot to get out my piece of paper with all the answers on-doh!! The letter arrived a couple days after the phone call. It also states that csa is payable from 19th april (when his other exes claim was closed to swap over) but that their figures dont include any money owed from that date, so does he have to agree with me to pay that, maybe a little extra at a time?? The letter is sooooo long winded and I have no experience of any of this so don't know how to make sense of it all. TIA for any reply x0
