Please give advice.
Having issues with Jacobs i received a letter through the door today to say Inventory and on it was listed my car my debt is £2000 and my car is worth about £500
are they likely to take my car i have moved it out the way and it was not outside the house this morning when they delivered the letter. My dad has said to write a receipt out in his name for the car but dont think it will cut it!
I need the car for work as i am a mobile barber is this just a scare tactic i am trying to make arrangements with him to repay my debt surely it costs alot more to tow and auction my £500 car

The last thing a bayliff wants to do is have to take a car, or any other goods, as it's a pain selling them, and they never realise enough to cover the debt.
But they won't tell you that, what they really want is hard cash, you should really try to come to an arrangement with them, deal with them in writing only, and send to there head office, be persistent, as they may refuse at first, but you must engage with them or else the matter will escalate.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
