Does BT consider Republic as international calls?

Hi folks,
Not with BT at the moment for either broadband or calls, but I seem to remember that BT considered republic as a national call rather than an international. I may go back to BT in the future.
So just wondering under their anytime calls package do calls for anyone living in N Ireland to republic come under anytime and therefore not chargeable?
Thanks for any,
Martin57

BT charge 36p a minute for calls to the ROI. You are better off going through another provider who charge 3p a minute and they bill BT for your call if you are a BT customer0

I always use Planet Numbers https://planet-numbers.co.uk/cheap-calls/ireland/0

I would guess so, because when my Aunt who lives down south phones me it shows up as an international number on caller display.0

I would expect so, it's a foreign country.0

Calls from Northern Ireland to the Republic of Ireland are charged at the Calling Plan UK
rates. Calls from Northern Ireland to mobile telephones registered in the Republic of Ireland
will be charged at the same rate as calls from the rest of the United Kingdom to mobile
telephones registered in the Republic of Ireland."Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0 -
It isn't actually. Or at least UK law does not consider it to be a foreign country.
Correct. There have never been any restrictions on irish citizens in the uk - voting, military service, police service as well as the obvious residence and labour rights. The uk and "down south" are effectively Siamese twins.
Who remembers Gordon brown's gaffe at the last election when he was caught on mike saying a Labour Party member who tackled him about immigration was a bigot? Her name - Mrs Duffy. No one seemed to get the irony.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0 -

There's a convenient and cheap way to phone home when you're down south. You simply dial 048 before your eight figure ni number. Never dial 0044 28, which works, but is dearer.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0 -

Yes - you think someone is calling from somewhere exotic. Then you hear a voice from Donegal sounding like Daniel o'donnell. What a let down.“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0
