Hi,
I'm considering downgrading my TT package from Plus TV to SimplyBroadband and the forthcoming price change is a timely opportunity to do just that. I'm currently in my second contract with TT (following a house move) and received the hardware (YouView box and router) during my first so as far as I understand I'm able to keep and continue to use these just fine as they're now mine to own.
By changing packages I'll lose the "Inclusive phone calls" and "7 Sky channels", with which I'm fine, but I'd like to keep the "7 day Catch-up TV", "Pause & rewind TV" and "Record Live TV" services. Am I correct in thinking that I'll still be able to receive those 3 services if I exit my current package given that they're provided by the YouView hardware, via the (TT Plus TV) router, rather than be specific TT services themselves?
If so I'll be able to save a lot of money with no discernible loss in service.
Any thoughts/experiences welcome. Thanks.

It appears as though my assumption is correct:

When you downgrade you will have to agree a new 18 month contract for the new package, but you should be able to negotiate discounts or deals0
