Very unexpected early discharge @ 26 weeks

Hi all,

when i got home form work last night i had a letter from the OR.

Once opened it contained the document stamped by the local court saying i was discharged on the 2nd Aug, so 26 weeks and 1 day after BR.

Did not have to fill out any form of second SOA for the OR, in fact since the telephone interview in March this is the only corrispondence i have had.

Now a quick question:

The letter states that i can apply to the local court for a offical certifcate. Is this worth getting? does it cost anything?

Finally, although i am not a regular poster i would like to thank everyone of you who have taken the time to read my posts and respond with your thoughts and to everyone else who's posts i have read and that has helped me through this period.

    Firstly CONGRATULATIONS :j:beer:

Right. The certificate can be worth getting depending on what you want to do next. It costs £60 + £1 per extra copy from the court, but if you were entitled to exemption of the original £150 court fee for your BR and the circumstances still apply you should be exempt the £60 as well.

If you want to check and clear up your Credit Reference Files then it is advisable to have an actual certificate to send to your creditors, since a few won't accept anything else as proof.

Again, congratulations and good luck with the future. :)

Just like to add my congratulations onyour early discharge. :T :T
I was just as surprised (though pleasantly relieved) when I got mine at 6 months, as I hadn't been asked for an updated I/E either.
    Good luck for the future.
I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
