Have you got any old bank statements which might have the information on? How many years are you talking, if within 6 then it might show on your credit report. I assume that you don't have any paperwork from your mortgage?
Even if you find the details, mortgages didn't usually have PPI on them. Even if it did, you are not automatically entitled to a refund, you would have to show that it was mis-sold to you in the first place.

How long ago are we talking here? Assuming it is the last 20 years - and you can remember the property address - then I would expect the Land Registry would hold a record in the register of charges on the property.0

Mortgage PPI has a much lower complaint success rate than loan and credit card PPI. One of the reasons is that most MPPI is not built into the mortgage. Most that were sold were standalone products with a separate direct debit.
In many cases, the mortgage lender wouldnt even know if you had PPI or not unless you bought it from them.entitled to PPI?
There is no entitlement. You make a complaint giving your reasons for complaint.
I find it astonishing that you cannot remember the name of your mortgage lender when it was only a few years ago. Such a major debt and only a short time ago (which is another reason why there is a lower success rate on complaints. Its not covering an unsecured debt but covering a secured debt with lifestyle changing consequences if it goes unpaid).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). stellafella1664 - if you contact us using our online contact form and inc the property details and a rough idea re dates etc for the mortgage we can check our records. We will then advise what we have , how to apply for it and the cost involved.
The basic details such as name of lender and date of charge would be on an old edition of the register OR a copy of the mortgage deed as lodged might carry some additional information such as an account number. The historical register or mortgage deed would cost £7 each
