cheapest place to live in Britain
Could anyone help me to find a cheapest (but nice) place to live in Britain? How do you use the National Statistics to work this out? I would like to retire there making my pension go further.
I mean cheap House price, rent, council tax, petrol price, parking, all utility prices and low price grocery supermarkets near by. That is not crime ridden. The least deprived areas are Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Surrey and of course London but they are some of the most expensive too.

Northumbria is probably the cheapest place in England. Some of it is very attractive, though a lot of the traditional employment in coal mining and steel making has gone.0
