I'd like to share my personal method which has greatly reduced the time taken to find comps that are relevant to me.

Now I just get emails when new threads are posted against certain key words in either the thread title or first post contents.

I use the free service https://blogtrottr.com

to do this you need the comp forum RSS feed: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/external.php?type=RSS2&forumids=72://

you can then add filters e.g. 'send me' updates that match 'any' of the following rules

some examples of my key words: ITV, issue, mag daily, ipad etc

example image [i found using 'hourly poll' setting the best which is above this]

I also have gmail set to filter these to a label.

I've been caught up with the MSE board for the past year. It makes it easier to just check the first page (with 200 threads per page) and usually it only takes me about half an hour to catch up again in the morning. Then I can get through the dailies, mag dailies and clicktowins. It's a lot better than comping by end date.

I was wondering the same - how do you change your settings? I am viewing 20 per page at the mo but wouldn't mind viewing 30-40 per page. I don't think I could cope with viewing 200 though without a magnifying glass!
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea

Not sure where I found it, but here are the links I work from - from my own Word document I use for comping:

    Standard view/200 posts
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...&page=1&pp=200

    End Date/200 per page
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...rune=-1&pp=200

    Blu X

Edit: Ps, you can change the "200" at the end of the url to make it any number you like, I think.

200 is the max, but I think you can only do it in multiples of 10.

Also, I know there is a way, just to show the ones ending on that date! But I can't remember! :)
