ROC payments

Hi, we had solar panels installed in Oct 2013, we bought them.Altough we have followed all the instructions and sent in meter readings on time we have so far received no ROC payments ...until yesterday when a cheque for a paltry £17 arrived. Earlier this year after many phone calls and threats to go to BBC , we got £77 for what we had exported.....this wasn't a fraction of what they owe us! The letter accompanying yesterday's cheque showed a meter reading which was approx half of what we had sent in...bear in mind this was for the period from accreditation to March 2014.....when can we expect the rest???

I haven’t received my ROC payment for 2013-2014 so when can I expect to receive it?
Power NI receives ROCs in batches each year from Ofgem and we are working to get the second batch issued for 2013/14. Power NI will process payment as soon as these ROCs are received from Ofgem. The issuing of ROCs is the sole responsibility of Ofgem and outside Power NI’s control.
For new customers, why is my accreditation date several months after I applied to Power NI?
This could be due to information being missing or incorrect in your application form. Also, during the last year, Power NI received an unprecedented increase in new applications which meant that we couldn’t process new applications as quickly as usual. We do deal with applications as quickly as we can on a first come first served basis. However you do not lose out as you still receive ROCs for 20 years from the accreditation date.0 -
That doesn't explain why the reading has been halved? Or when we can expect the next ROC payment? We were on hols in April 2014 and all electric except fridge freezer was unplugged so everything generated went back to the grid and it was a heatwave!0

In March 2014 and then again in March 2015 did you receive emails asking you to read your generation meter and send in the readings. These readings are used to pay the ROC - I sent mine in in March 2014 and received my ROC payment of £650 in November 2014 - it was due from June onwards but apparently there was a backlog with Ofgen and it took quite a while to process.
At the end of September each year I receive an email asking me to provide the export reading and this is used to generate the export payment each year.
The export figure I have received each year has been around £150 and this is also received in November / December - These are processed from the September reading.
Are you certain that you have completed the registration process to receive ROC payments? These would have been completed and sent to Power NI immediately after installing the system in October 2013 and your first ROC meter reading would have been in March 2014 and the second in March 2015. I think the export payments from Power NI happen automatically when you provide the export reading but the ROC payments require the Ofgen registration process to be completed correctly.John0 -
