Protective Award claim type

Hi
Does anyone know what Protective Award claims come under - Type A or Type B?
I put a claim in as an individual (missed out on 3 other group claims!) and paid my £160 for the issue fee believing it to be a Type A claim.
I then received a letter advising it was a Type B and to pay another £90. The additional hearing fee would then jump up to a massive £950!
As such I couldn't pay it and the claim was dismissed.
I have recently found out that the other 3 group claims have all paid their fee's for Type A and have received a hearing date....
I think HMRC have made a mistake with me but just wanted other peoples input before I get on the phone!
Thanks in advance
