Coventry valuation done last week, heard nothing about the valuation, an offer soon?

So we are using a broker, husband is sorting it all out through a broker as he is a contractor.
24/4 Broker submitted full mortgage application to Coventry BS
30/4 Valuation done at our purchasing property (we only found that out today as we phoned the sellers estate agent to ask if it had been done!)
Today, almost a week since valuation done (OK we did have the bank hol) but not heard anything. I have told husband to call the broker today. What normally happens after the valuation? Does the broker get told of the value? And they let us know? Or will they only let us know if there is a problem with the value?
Is this a good sign that we may have a mortgage offer on the way?
Many thanks!
