just wondering...
now I doubt anyone will remember me but I was made bankrupt on 3rd May, had my OR telephone interview a week or two later,
anyway at the interview they worked out that I should have £20 or so left each month and that I would have to pay £104 each month for 36 months,
after loads of fab advice on here I sent in a revised soa, also stating that I am a student and querying whether this should be taken into account etc...
well since the telephone interview I haven't heard a single thing from them, (apart from a copy of my new council tax bill), so in 3 months I haven't received acknowledgement of my new soa,
but should I have heard about the monthly payments (is it called IPA)?? I would have thought I'd have heard something by now about the IPA (?) thing or my new SOA.
I am thinking of taking a bit of time out of uni due to stress/depression and would have to go on benefits until I find a job, how would this work with the OR? would the IPA (?) change dependant on what money I have coming in? Also if it is over 3 years can it change even if you have been discharged if your income becomes higher?

Hiya,
Sure someone who actually has been through it will come along soonish and adde xperience to the pot, but a couple of answers to tick over for now:
Yes if your income goes up/down the IPA goes up/down/suspends (not sure if it ever 'stops' as it were, just revised to not be paid for x amount of months whilst you are earning too little for an IPA).
You need to sign something to say you agree to the IPA before it happens (ie before you start paying) (the A stands for Agreement - if you refuse it and you should be getting one it goes to court I think and it changes to an IPO - O being Order). So it would appear your OR is under a pile of paperwork and not getting round to doing the IPA that ignores your revised SOA, or has accepted your SOA and hasn't gotten in contact to tell you. You have a choice - keep your head down and pray for the 12 months to wizz by as the IPA can't be started after discharge, or contact the OR and squeek 'what's happening' or just keep bimbling along. Whilst I'm all for honesty, it's something that has led me to all sorts of hassles in cases like this (not BR I hasten to add, I haven't been BR before and am only planning on it the once) so phoning and going 'hello' to the OR is something I would shy away from with my experience of 'trying to do the right thing'. If it's causing you loads of stress though, I would phone just for peace of mind...
Hope that helps a little

If you do not get any IPA/IPO then once you are discharged you do not haft to inform the OR of any changes .Official DFW NERD 189

An IPA/IPO must be commenced during your bankruptcy period. If no IPA/IPO was in place at the time of discharge, whether early or full-term, then you have no further obligation to inform the OR/Trustee of any change in circumstances.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
