I have posted this in the benefits section but I'm putting it on here to see if anyone does avon to boost their income and also have a part time job.my question is I'm looking to do Avon say for 4 hours a week and I work 25 hours in an employed job I claim wtc how do I go about declaring hours to them.thanks

By working for Avon you are self-employed and thus need to declar this to HMRC. You are employed by the company of your part-time job so tax is automatically taken out of your wages for that but with Avon you need to register as self-employed.

I do Avon (have done for 10+ years), the tax you pay depends on how much of your allowance you have already used from your other job.
You need to register with HMRC regardless, it's still extra income you wouldn't have had by doing nothing even if you do pay some of your profit in taxJan 2010 - Overdraft £9,500 / Credit Cards £5,000 / Loan £9,500 / Mortgage £128,000
Jun 2010 - Overdraft £0 / Credit Card £0 / Loan £0 / Mortgage £125,250
