PCP deals
OK, I don't want to sound daft but when is the best time to look for your next car whilst on a PCP deal? I mean I have less than a year to go and then obviously I have to decide what we are doing ie give it back, pay the GMFV (or whatever it is) or upgrade.
We have already decided it is now too small for us (fiesta) with two growing children so will be looking for a larger car.
What I need to know is when do people usually start the ball rolling so to speak ie 6 mths before end, 3 mths, 1 month, on D-Day?
Also another quickie am I right to presume even though the finance is with ford finance any company could clear it ie toyota, nissan etc not just a ford dealer. Cheers for any help

We were sent a letter by the finance company 6 months before the end remonding us of the upcoming end of the deal, and we started to decide at this point what we were going to do at the end of the agreement. We are very indecisive though.
I am sure that a few months before the end the finance company sent another letter and a form asking us what we were going to do as well.
You could go with another company if you wanted, and see what they would offer you for the car, and compare this to the amount you have to pay Ford at the end, or just hand the car back to ford and start again with someone else, or sell the ford prvately.0 -
Hi, I work for Ford and we have to keep our cars for 9 months as we have a discount voucher. The earlier you change the car the more money it is worth but you have paid off less of the capital. Just give a dealer a ring to find out when you can change.
If you are looking for another ford i.e. a focus or something send me a dm and I can offer you something that may interest you0
