PE ticket at Straford Morrison

Hello all

I have read the newbie guide to the familiarize myself that ticket is not penalty but an invoice

My wife parked in the supermarket and remained in the car whilst waiting for me. Total duration of the stay was under 45 mins.

I doubt she checked whether it was a controlled parking zone.. A couple of days later received a PCN via the post.

I have gone to back to the location to check there were visible signs. Signs present.

My questions
1. I am thinking of fighting on the basis of that penalty cost doesn't merit the error committed by myself

2. what are the chances of getting this thing cancelled

Thanks

Read the NEWBIES section again but first and the best method of cancellation is to go back to Morrisons with a shopping receipt and talk loudly to the manager. I'm puzzled by a ticket after 45 mins? Did you go back to collect her (a double visit)?

Was this a ParkingEye controlled car park where you have to put your car registration number into an in-store terminal?

I have decided to appeal this to the PPC on the grounds of "genuine pre-estimate of loss" , The location wasn't properly lit hence one could easily miss the signs and maybe offer a drop hands offer of £10

    would that be sensible approach?

Follow the advice in the NEWBIE section and do a soft appeal first.
These are tricky times at the moment with PE after their win in court so they have their tails up.
