"£9 off £60 spend at Sainsbury" till spits

For several weeks now I've been getting a till spit for £9 off with my receipt at Sainsbury.
Today, for the first time ever, I used the 'Fast Lane' gun and dedicated till, and didn't get one of the vouchers.
Is that a coincidence, or can regular users confirm that they still get the money-off coupons when using the Fast Lane?
