I must admit - I just like to stick to MSE
I find this site easy to use and I don't have time to look elsewhere.
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
I love MSE but would love Facebook and Twitter comps to be posted together, like they are on this new site( which I have joined and found so easy to use).I enter a few FB comps but never do Twitter but have to scroll them on all MSE.....as long as I have checked 'like' on a FB comp I can't see me duping an entry.
not necesarily u could have liked it for another comp and then instead of duping u wonthave entered at allWhat goes around-comes around0 -

I think they meant they like the comp post on FB not the FB page0 -

Yes, that's what I meant ...thanks.0 -
Just had a quick look - initial impressions:
1) It's "search" is even worse than MSE's (and that means it is very, very bad!) so it will be very prone to dupes. They do appear to be aware of this.
eg. search for "entr" hoping to find entr.co.uk competitions:
It doesn't search url's behind the "enter" button so it misses their comps unless the poster has put it elsewhere in the post (eg. misses THIS one). It also returns posts where "entry" has been used (many false positives such as THIS one)
1a) The "daily" and "main" database appear to be combined for searching with no option to separate them.
1b) Closed comps appear not to be searchable.
2) It is quick at the moment with just a thousand comps posted - will it be quick when it fills up?
3) It is showing just 4 comps per page by default - many MSE users have this set to 40 (or more). TIP put /1/20 on the end of the URL to get 20 per page.
4) The filtering is very promising.
5) I can't see any multi-prize comps such as with the weekly magazines and I don't see how they would be posted/categorised.
6) The "dailies" is unwieldy already (they are including "click-to-wins"), and there is no filtering.
Conclusion: One or two promising indications, but it needs a heck of lot of work to make it usable. If MSE gets 8/10 I would give this 3/10. I might have a look in 3 months to see any progress.0 -
One thing I have noticed whilst entering a few is there is no discussion on the competition posts like here? For example no warnings about tick boxes or multiple people giving their opinion on answers to make sure it's right or other useful things. I do remember when I used to enter on the prize finder that I noticed wrong answers often.0

I've had a look and I like that you can select FB comps, but I don't think I'll be using it. I much prefer MSE and find it easy to use. Plus, I wouldn't want to dupe myself, hence why I've always just stuck to one site.2019 Wins

I like that you can choose what kind of comp you can enter too, yes is more user friendly than here.......but again it is what you are used to“I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints.” - Billy Joel
