Are holiday laws same for those working from home?

If I am working from home, but the employer is in the US, do I also get paid time and a half for working on a bank holiday or are the laws different for those working from home / with online jobs? This is probably a simple (hopefully not completely stupid question). Unfortunately, I really do not know the answer.

One thing I am sure of is that there is no legal entitlement to time and a half for working on a bank holiday.Signature removed for peace of mind0

As above, why do you think you should get time and a half?0

Contact HR in the US or check your contract.0

When I worked for an american company you just got time off in lieu to take another time if the holidays didn't match, and were expected to take american holidays instead. You'd need to check your contract and employee handbook about holidays and overtime, if you don't normally get time and a half for overtime then it is very unlikely you would for this.MFW OP's 2017 #101 £829.32/£5000

I work from home, sometimes on bank holidays and it's just another day, my holiday entitlement is 35 days to take when I want. If I choose to work tomorrow I get nothing extra.0

Time and a half for a bank holiday is not a legal requirement in the UK regardless of whether you work on site or from home.
You need to check what your contract says but if it isn't mentioned then you aren't entitled to it. I work from home and bank holidays aren't paid at a premium but that is no different to the office based staff who have the same contract terms.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

If they are contracting you as a UK employee through a UK entity with PAYE etc then normal UK employment laws apply.
If you are working through a US company they can make up any rules they like or may have to employ you with whatever apples in the US..
The work from home is not relevent.
Start with how do you get paid and taxed that will be a clue.0 -
with one employer I got double time and a day off in lieu for working a BH.
with another I got a day off in lieu.0 -
I guess it depends on your location but most importantly in depends on the actual you have with your employer. Some are just as generous while some are, let me call them practical.0
