OP she'll find her own workarounds. I was back at full time work 2 days later and managing quite easily with one hand (although pulling up/down knickers was a bit time consuming).
On a practical note, she needs to make sure the bits between her fingers are washed and dried properly, they can quickly smell like very cheesy feet otherwise.

NB this isn't medical advice so follow the advice given personally to you. After the surgery the physiotherapist told me that people living on their own tended to recover quicker as they'd used their wrist more to do the essentials.

Had a 'trying' day - visit to the Trauma Clinic after a week, Doctor not happy - manipulated again - Partner on Gas - still painful, new bigger bandage and cast. Hope we have better luck next week!

    Thanks for the comments.

For showers/baths, I found one of the long bags that you get when you buy rolls of wrapping paper worked best, with an elastic band to secure :D

I found these to be ace google 'limbo waterproof cast protector' (cant post links as a new member) its basically a proper 'shower' proof bag with neoprene at the top so comfy. I write 'shower' proof as I did go swimming, surfing, and had a bath in mine. It did have a few bits of sand in it so may not be aimed at surfers but..... shows how good it is! Well worth every penny. It will keep not that as a family you will need it again- but.....

I have just looked on eBay and they are selling very very reasonable priced! Have a look at limbo site for sizing (they do differ). I would personally stick with limbo as a brand as thats what was recommended by the hospital
