Hi there,
Just needing a little advice!
I am soon to be divorced and if all goes as planned I will come out with £120k I have a low income ( 17k a year from working 16 hrs a week, maintanance payments for my child, and benefits) I also don't have a good credit rating due to a missed phone bill payment. To buy anything decent in my area I will need at least £160k which means I have a shortfall of 40k would I be able to get a mortgage for this due to me putting such a large deposit down? Any advice appreciated!

It depends on a few other things but I would be surprised based on what you have said if you can not get what you need.
Speak to a broker but im sure you will be able to get the mortgage at reasonable rates.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
