default removal

Hi

Just a quick question I paid off 5 debts 2 of which had a default date of 2013 for motormile finance. Last month this 2 defaults was standing proud at the top of my credit record, but now have been removed the day after I cleared both balances.

Not that I am complaining, but do companies often do this after the account is cleared

Many thanks

I think it depends on the creditors - there is a post on another thread where the creditor won't remove the default, so I guess you are just lucky

    Happy days.

unusual, depends what they were for.

More likely to happen for payday loans than credit cards, due to the scrutiny they are under. Especially if the agreements originally didn't allow credit file reporting.

They were for a payday loan so I am just happy that they come off
