RMS Receivables - unfair charge?
I'd like some advice please..
I completed a voluntary termination on my Peugeot 107 (2 and a half years old) and the car was collected a week ago. A year before, it was keyed along the driver's side whilst parked outside my house and I knew that this was beyond 'fair wear and tear' and that I would most likely get charged once the car was collected. So I paid £200 for a company to repaint the two driver's side doors and it looked good as new.
A week after the collection I have received a letter demanding £312 for the respraying of the same doors by RMS Receivables because the previous paint work was of a 'poor finish' according their second inspection.
Where do I stand in all this? It seems ridiculous that a professionally repainted door is not up to the standards of 'fair wear and tear' and like they are just after my money.. Can I dispute the charge? Should I make a complaint to the original repair company?
Any help appreciated! Thanks.

I'd guess the fact that they noticed the finish was different supports the view that it may not have been done very well.0

If the paint job had been properly done, RMS Receivables wouldn't have noticed, so perhaps it was not a really professional job. I would try and negotiate a reduced settlement.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0
