Im worrying about Buyers Mortgage

Options
I am probably worrying about nothing..... but out Buyers Nationwide Mortgage Approval seems to be taking a very long time compared to others on this forum.

They had the Valuation 2 weeks ago and was told last Friday all there documents have submitted and keep being told its in a backlog.... This is normal, as My Mortgage with the Halifax was approved within 3 days of the Valuation.

We have been told is 100% it will get approved by the Estate Agent after speaking to their Broker, but until its approved nothing is 100% ?

This is the last hurdle as everything else is in place for Exchange.

Never moving again if this all works out..

I think you're worrying over nothing, this doesn't sound particularly unusual.

If they've got to the valuation they've presumably essentially been accepted personally: the valuation has also presumably been passed, it's just waiting in a big pile for a rubber stamp.

We have a Nationwide case, paper application as it was a rate-port.

Valuer was instructed on 16 April. Inspection done and report came back with an error. It has been referred back to the surveyor for amendment before it can be offered.

It seems to be taking forever compared to the online submissions which tend to be offered within a week to ten days.

Hi Thanks I guess the valuation has been accepted as not heard anything from when it was valued 2 weeks ago. Does Nationwide do a full credit check before a valuation like the halifax did me ?

I hope its just in the pile to be rubber stamped....

Either way its totally out of your hands, just keep in contact with your Estate Agents.

Selling/buying property is stressful as well as expensive so if you never move again, you will save yourself thousands !!!

Worrying about the buyers mortgage gets you nowhere although it is a regular theme of posts.

If it brings you any comfort, we applied to Nationwide recently and it was more than two weeks between valuation being carried out and them issuing the offer. So I don't think it's that unusual.

There's tons more to get worried about. Save your worrying for the next bit .... when you'll be worrying if they'll pull out every time you hear/read a news item that house prices have gone up/down.
