Banking for OH and leaving useless Barclays.

Hi all,
Not sure if anyone will be interested but my wife had the displeasure of being transfered to Barclays from the Woolwich.
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=447840&highlight=woolwich+to+barclays
The cash card was replaced by a useless piece of plastic that was not an Electron or even a "link" card.(Which is very inconvenient).
This was a savings account as this was all the The Woolwich would let her have as the Tax Credits and Family Allowance were the only payments going in.
She found it hard to get a new decent account which had the facilities of her old Woolwich card.(Even Nationwide said No).
I think this is due to myself being BR.
But today she had confirmation of a new Step account with Nat West and this comes with Maestro/Solo.
So i hope this is relevant and will help someone.
