Asda not making offers clear

Options
Every now and again, I buy 4 hot chocolate sachets for £1. In the past, I was able to mix and match within the brands - Options, Cadburys Highlights and whoever makes the Malteaser one. You maybe thinking not very MSE buying HC that way but if I buy a tub of it, I either make it too thin or I eat the powder.:o

Now, the offer only works if you buy the same brand - can mix the flavours within the brand. As I discovered today.

Now I took I photo of the HC section and there is nothing to indicate you cannot mix n match across the brands.

I wonder if any other products where you can mix n match brands have been scrapped. I know the cans of Relentless, Monster and Rockstar energy drinks worked. I don't buy them but I have been shopping with a friend and she buys them for OH.

You may think I am petty over 28p - as the sachets are 32p each, but that could mount to hundreds or thousands of £s if customers buy these.

Customer service were useless and I did ring up head office and they will be sending me £2.28 on a gift card plus to check the HC area in 10 days time and if I don't see any notification, to ring again quoting ref on the letter.

Anyone else had issues with Asda's multbuys recently?

I hope Which's super complaint will try and cure things like this.

    It's only 28p but it's your 28p! It's the principle

Once got a company to send me a cheque for 25p in the post. :D

I know it was 25p but it was my 25p and the company messed it up in not giving me it the first place.;)

It cost them more to send the money than if they did it right in the first place. Hopefully they have learned something.:)

I went in today and they had big piles of Kellogs crunchy nut cornflakes (750g) everywhere with a poster implying they were a bargain at £2. When I looked in the cornflake aisle they also had 1kg boxes of the same for £1.97!!!

    Bizarre

    Not surprise.
Always read £/kg or £/L instead.

and I usually find loose onion cheaper than the 1kg pack

Definitely, especially now that manufacturers seem to be making special size packs to try and fool customers.
