Nationwide - A Success Story!

Hi There,
Is it usual to get a mortgage application approved within 4 days? Our timeline looks like this;
17/4: Current house put onto the market
18/4: SOLD at asking
21/4: 1st Viewing on a new build
21/4: DIP received from IFA
25/4: 2nd Viewing and reserved our plot
27/4: Full application submitted
29/4: Valuation completed
30/4: Mortgage offer sent out!
After reading through some of the stories on here I was anticipating a long wait, seems like the mortgage gods were on my side!!! Lets hope the rest of the conveyancing process is as painless.

Congrats on your Mortgage.... But now im starting to worry we have our mortgage ready but awaiting our Buyers Mortgage Approval from Nationwide and was told last Friday, they had submitted all the documents and the Valuation was ok, and today they are still awaiting an Approval,
Was told to today from the Estate Agent there is a backlog at nationwide and thats why its taking time???0
