Dupe Competitions

I'm still a novice at comping and do not really know the full script with 'dupes'.

If only 1 entry is permitted per email for example and you accidentally enter the same competition just on another site, does this invalidate your previous entry from the other entry route?
Or would the 2nd entry (into the dupe) just not count and you first entry still count?

Depends on the competition and how it is administered.

Some comps probably don't check and just say "Only 1 per household" or some variation on that and just hope that people adhere to that ... others will think you're trying to cheat by entering multiple times and just disqualify all of your entries.
