Hello fellow DFW's
End of the month report..
OD unused (again) first direct must think I've died!
CC unused! But only paid minimum.
No addition to EF challenge.
Managed to cope with daughters birthday and weekend away in London all from my budget.
Bagged clarity card for summer holiday.
Notified today of £45 increase in my pension. Yeah.
All in all a good month. Hope to send some more to CC in May and sell hi value bike and guitar. Onwards and upwards. How was yours?

Have spent too much money this last month on various things for the garden, new fencing, pond clarifier blew up and had to be replaced, went to the snooker in Sheffield, and spent a bit on my hobbies (big boys toys) no credit involved, but overspent All the same, time to tighten belt methinks !!!!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. April felt a bit rubbish for me, I only paid £200 to debts this month but looking at it positively:
*this is £200 more than I paid off in April last year
*I haven't added to my debt for 5 months now
*I'm still on track to have a DFD in November this year
I get paid weekly so May is a 5 payday month for me, I'm hoping to get rid of two debts in one month:jTotal debt at LBM = £4861.03
DFBXmas2018 #91 - £3342 / £3500 (95.4%)
HTB ISA - £0 withdrawn for house purchase!Wedding Fund £2550 / £50000 -
April was ok for me. The last week was a little tight for me, but I managed by eating what we had in the freezer (no bad thing as it's pretty full).
I didn't go over budget anywhere, and though I had some fairly big expenses - daughter's birthday pressie (Harry Potter studio tour...over £100 for 3 of us and I've not even seen the films or read the books!!:o ) but I'd been putting money aside for her birthday and this pretty much covered it. Grandparents normally make a contribution towards a little party...and her birthday isn't for a couple of months anyway, so can save up a little for that as well.
*Finally* got my OH on board, I've been paying off cc and loan in my name for a couple of years now, but OH hadn't had his lightbulb monent till last week. We finally sat down and went through his finances (not great, but workable) and we've juggled some of his CCs onto other existing cards with 0%, he's promised to stop spending on his main card (I have the card, so he can't) and he is finally committed to paying everything off. Feels AMAZING to have him on board and heading in the same direction as I'm going. I will be debt free in a year, he will take maybe 3 years which is what I started with, but I needed for him to have that LB moment, and couldn't force him to have it. He's here now and we're working together, so I'm super happy. :T
Happy May everyone!!PAYDBX 2016 #55 100% paid! :j Officially bad debt free...don't count my mortgage.

Not a bad month overall,
Spendy weekend just past, sisters wedding on Saturday and there was a lot spent a the bar, and on bits and pieces in the week leading up to it.
Overpaid £688 to the mortgage today - feels great!
Buildings and contents insurance paid today, not due until next week, and had budgeted for it in May to pay in full, however had money left over in Aprils budget to cover it. So extra money for May (probably will go towards the mortgage). Got my renewal price in last week, was £80 more than last year even with no claims and nothing changing. Did my research on the comparison sites and while I was able to get it cheaper than the renewal price, it was still more expensive than last year. They have just phoned me and I told them I would renew right now if they matched last years price. They undercut it by £2. RESULT!Mortgage = [STRIKE]£113,495 (May 2009)[/STRIKE] £67462.74 Jun 20190 -

Its my first month of posting here. Had been lurking for a few weeks before that and starting to pull back spending and sell a few bits off.
So far it feels like my ship is turning very well. Am just about to do a major shift in downsizing property which will increase my expenses short term but long term be a much more sensible option for reducing expenditure and helping me save for retirement. So far so good. April has been very positive on the financial front. I will check my figures later to see how I did on debt reduction.Total debt at 18.9.17 £1950
Debts down £12,700 high in Feb 2015, £10,700 April 15, £8830 May 15, £6776 June 15 , £5857 July 15 £6970 1.3.16

Bit of a rough month for me:
- £730 in repairs to my puppy dog as she needed life-saving surgery, is old and unfortunately not insured
- £350 for service and MOT on my 4yr old car. In fairness, £150 for full service, and £100 for new tyres in that mix, but budgeted for
- £80 for new handbrake cable & rear pads on our 7yr old car as she clearly felt left out
All paid for from budgeted savings, but meant instead of £1000 being added to savings, w only managed £500.LBM July 2006. Debt free 01 Sept 12 .. :T
Finally joined Slimming World: weight loss 33lbs...target achieved 51wks later 06.05.13 & still there :j
