Just under 30 by my reckoning.

    Yes there are.

It is a moot point at times, we are not being clever saying we know the answer but not sharing; it is simply just not allowed.

    for mortgages?

I still have it on there, I am calling them in a minute to tell them that Equifax and Experian have both removed it from my account and that I need them to do the same (their own investigation or whatever).

I'm worried they'll say it'll take 28 days or whatever though.

Do Halifax even use CallCredit/Noodle or can I be a bit more relaxed about it?

I have seen the table on the MSE website, but I'm not sure if it's 100% accurate

    Thank you

I've got a DIP with them and just started full application.

Soft search was on Experian only, no other agencies.

Their criteria says they use all 3 though so I'd reckon a broker would be your best bet.

Agencies can share key data facts as well.

I have emailed CallCredit, but they are dragging their heels and I have no time to do this stuff. I wish they would talk to each other. Why am I responsible for calling all of them and ensuring it's removed. Grrrrr.

And unfortunately their primary credit file used for credit profiling is now Call Credit.

Seems very odd that you can tell the OP who halifax use for credit profiling but cam only hint in regards to other lenders - what silly rules

It seems very sensible to me.

Financial advice is highly regulated and this includes Mortgages. Brokers have to be very careful about giving ANYTHING that could be conceived of as 'advice' as it leaves them wide open to repercussions if you then follow said 'advice' and have a future cause for complaint over the product you end up with.

This is why a fact-find is so detailed as regulated sales need to fully justify any advice based on full-disclosure of the financial situation and aims of the buyer .... hence find a broker!
