Depends on books I guess. They aren't very profitable to sell if they are paperbacks, popular fiction etc. There are topics on this board and most agree that it is not worth the hassle.
I'd consider to donate them to the charity instead.ally.0 -
I agree with asajj, unless they are rare out of print ones they are almost certainly not worth selling- check out a few of the sites that buy books in bulk and see if you have anything they want. Also check out selling them on Amazon- but remember to factor in the fees and postage.
I'm going to a couple of auctions in the next week, many now don't take books at all as they don't sell, but both have crate loads in specialist markets that have an estimate of £5 a lot on them. If each lot of approx 50+ books sells at estimate the seller is likely to get around £1.50 back for the sale.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. We Buy Books is fast paying and reliable. I have sold many times to them and I disagree about it not being worth it. I sell a mix of DVDs, books and CDs to them each time and usually get around £20. Sure it's not much per item sometimes, but £20 is better than a kick in the teeth. If you use them, make sure you look for a 10% extra code, they pretty much always have them. Also Amazon Trade-in is good, but they are more selective about what they take and you can only be paid in Amazon vouchers. Only do either of these options after failing to sell your books on Amazon Marketplace. You'll always get more if you have the patience to sell them yourself.Minimalist

if niche / rare books, then eBay / Amazon or new series of fiction. Amazon also have some sort of trade in programme.
I had some art books once. They were RRP £12, they sold for £30. Another out of print art book, bought for £40 but when out of print, sold for £80.
Most other books are being sold for 1p plus postage so not worth the hassle.0
