Agreed. Just need to sort out the feed-in-tariff. I am not sure how one does that so long after installation (assuming the previous owner hasn't done it and is still cashing in) but I would imagine that it can only run from the date of application.

Having reviewed out paperwork from solicitors its says we own them and they are plugged in and in use so that's positive

From memory (so please don't test me) but I think there was at some time a grant available, to help pay for PV installs on new builds. If your system got this, then it wouldn't be eligible for FiTs, since it got the before subsidy (help to buy), rather than the after subsidy (help to pay back).

This is a bit of a long shot, but may explain why no meter readings are being submitted for FiTs. Assuming of course that the system is running, but that'll be obvious if there is a generation meter, as it'll be flashing (during daylight) and the numbers will be going up each day.

If the system is working, then it should mean lower leccy bills (perhaps £120 pa).

[Edit: Another thought. If all houses got them, then ask a neighbour how it all works. Somebody must know. M.]

From a registration perspective then as mentioned any leases of the solar panels are likely to be registered

In the past it would be the homeowners who arrange such things with the solar panel companies but on new developments the developer may also get involved before they start selling the plots.houses.

The devil will be in the detail so it is important to confirm what information is available and to match that with the other parties involved. If a formal arrangement exists and you want to change it then I suspect legal advice would be required to formalise anything providing of course all parties were in agreement to change things
