How much to insulate loft in house?

I know it's possible to get a grant of £150 to help towards the cost of insulating the loft of a house. The recipient has to pay the additional.

If simply purchasing the loft insulation and installing the rolls oneself, how much do you think the materials would cost to insulate the loft of a small terraced house?

Northern Ireland so doesn't apply.

There had been free options last tax year which covered NI, though as far as I'm aware there are no full grants available this year.

Unless anyone knows differently?

£150 grant seems a lot. When I got my cavity walls insulation a few years ago the grant was £150 for the walls and £75 for the loft.
