Never had experience of a foreign DCA, but I would assume they will be as obnoxious as the UK variety, refrain from speaking to them on the phone, put your offer in writing, or an email in this case, tell them, this is what I can pay, take it or leave it.

They will be persistent as it appears the phone is there only way of contacting you, take away there ability to contact you :

Block there number on your phone then they can't ring you !!!!!!

ok great thanks sourcrates i will. I have written down the different numbers they call from and am in the process of getting them blocked from my company and i'll do the same for my mobile, i'll reiterate the offer on email and leave it at that.
