Can you stop the CCJ process AFTER you receive court papers if at the point you receive them go back to the DCA and agree to settle/enter repayment arrangement?

Can certainly settle which should stop the CCJ.

Could in theory enter a payment arrangement as well, but most creditors having stumped up the court fees will carry on unless you settle in full.

In you make offers of a payments via the CCJ forms you still get a CCJ, but the court may agree instalments.

If the judgement already issued, I think it can only get cancelled if fully settled within a month..

If just summons received, get in payment offer ASAP.

If you make an offer to settle, mark is 'without prejudice to forthcoming legal action'. That means your offer cannot be used in the forthcoming hearing for judgement should that go ahead.

In other words if you, for example, offer 75% of the amount now, that offer is rejected and it goes to court, the claimant could otherwise say, 'please order xx to pay 75% now - and they have it because they offered it in this letter, and the other 25% over six months (or whatever)
