Employee, self-employed, changing jobs

I've been self-employed for five years and now I'm planning career change and be employee again. I'm also planning to apply for mortgage soon. Should I put my career change on hold now until my mortgage is approved? Or, as a employee, I'd have a bigger chances for mortgage? I've always thought you have to be employed for at least six months first , before applying for loan.
Thanks.
Thanks.

8pm on a Monday evening and no-one on duty for a reply within 50 minutes - what is the world of free advice coming to !!
The answer I'm afraid is going to be down to many factors ... what your S/E figures look like, whether the job is in the 'same line', does it have a probation period, is it an increase in income etc etc.
There are possibilities for month one employment mortgages, in the right circumstances.
