You can't trust any car, they are machines so they break.
Even a brand new car only has the luxury of a warranty.

There is a reason every car on a second hand forecourt was traded in by someone, it's fairly likely it has a fault of some kind they couldn't solve cheaply.

Don't get suckered into a Carcraft type ripoff.

Assuming every single secondhand car on sale by a motor trader has a fault that noone can fix cheaply would be the perfect argument you can have with yourself to justify spending money every 3 years on a new car......it allows the rest of us humans to buy good secondhand cars !

Thanks goes out to the poor sap who bought my current car 10 years ago and its still driving a-ok and only cost my less than a 10th of the new price.

My car is a 2004 car with 138k on the clock. I paid 7k for it four years ago with savings.

my point is a new car (to you), doesn't mean it is reliable, nor is a brand new car so it's a pointless way of thinking

So strongly consider not buying a car because it could break? How absurd!

This really isn't difficult to grasp surely?
The argument is don't buy a new car thinking it cannot break.
