As a landlord I support the idea as it will lead to higher rents overall :)

I'm not a socialist so abhor their interference in the markets, which always have unintended consequences that others can see a mile off !!! :rotfl:

    Other silly interventions:

Sale of gold after telling the market they were selling, thus reducing the price we got.

HIPS that killed the housing market with stupid bureacracy.

WTCs which deter work and add to the deficit.

splitting governance of the BofE and thus aiding the banking crash

    etc....

    And higher house prices!

That's the thing about this nations poor, is that they always vote for policies that make me better off!

    Some examples,

Labours pathfinder reduced housing stock that was never replaced, forcing up house prices.

Labour brought in disability benefit changes and awarded the contract to Atos to strip the infirm of their entitlement. Less of my taxes being used to support others.

Top fees and abolition of student grants, so I don't have to pay for the education of others that I got for free.

Increased immigration, which has resulted in stable prices in London's coffee shops, increased pressure on housing and downward pressure on wages.

I could go on, but a Labour victory doesn't fill me with dread but with more opportunity to enrich myself. And I have to thank the nations poor for that!

Turkeys really do vote for Christmas.

p.s. Don't forget the 200% increase in house prices the last Labour government. KERCHING!!!!!!!!!!

They had little choice other than to vote for right wing parties until recently. Some of these turkeys are even voting UKIP now! CRAZY!!!

Oppose, we need to build more houses and if anything controlling rents will hinder that.

I don't support any scheme that addresses the problem of lack of supply through the introduction of irrelevant schemes, whether the introducer is Cameron (social housing RTB) or Miliband (rent control). I would however support a programme to massively increase the number of houses built providing it's sensible and the numbers work.

WTC tax credit is my favourite, it's amazing that as a company director I can earn £100K+ a year and still claim WTC!.

The poor just cant help themselves, it like they have a hole in their pockets and just can't give their money away fast enough to me.

Sod it, I've just convinced myself I'm voting Labour!

They will bankrupt the country, but by the time that happens I will be in sunnier climes enjoying the fruits of my Labour.
