Credit file clean up query please

Ok, just starting the dreaded file clean up urgh! Loads to correct.

I've ordered the statutory reports from Equifax & Experian. Am I right that Call Credit is Noddle & I just view the report online as I have been doing?

I know there will be more questions because I'm not clear on how the Call Credit items should read, I've got myself muddled but I'll work through the other two first!

Thank you :-)

Hi owlet, did you order the paper stat report or the online version? I did my file clean up online through equifax and experians incorrect information links. Out of my 10 defaulted accounts, 9 have been corrected and it's just one that I am going to have to write to, it saved me a fortune in stamps :)

Equifax also send a new report free of charge every time a company agrees to update so you can see it's been done :D

I did the online versions for Equifax & Experian. Just waiting for a pin/passcode to come through the post for one of them (can't remember which offhand).

Can you report the errors online then? That would be fantastic & as you say, saves time & money! Can't wait to get it sorted now. I have a couple of free days at the end of this coming week & I'm going to tackle it then x

Thanks for the clarification Fermi, that's great!

It's Experian that have the very annoying pin thing, it's obvious they do it to pursuade you to pay extra for there monitoring service that gives you instant access grrr.

On equifax, you need to raise a dispute on each entry, it was a pain having to do it 10 times but worth it because 9 out of 10 corrected the entry on all 3 cra's 😀 home retail group are being a pain, even their CEO doesn't bother replying  equifax have suppressed there entry on my file for now because they haven't responded to the request to correct it.

It's worth a go anyway and it only took a couple of weeks 😀

That's a great result, I hope mine goes that smoothly. About half of mine are showing incorrect default date & almost all are not showing settled of any kind & being updated as continuous default every month.

I might be a bit early because I was only discharged last month but they have had a year to at least get the default date right!!

Hopefully it won't take too long to do each one x
