Will a lender accept this???

Hi guys, first post here, but the other half is getting a bit worried about our situation, and I couldn't find any direct info online regarding this.
We are in the process of getting a mortgage. We had a baby girl in January this year, and are in the process of buying a house. Problem being that Joanne had statutory maternity pay on her last 3 months pay slips, and our IFA stated that if the lender can confirm her contracted hours with her Payroll and HR, that should be acceptable...
Does this happen? I assume it must on some occasions. Is this a valid way of checking her yearly earnings?? She has just taken on a 4th contracted day in the last week. So when the lender rings, providing they accept this type of salary / earnings check, will they only be interested in her last contracted months / years earnings? Or will her new contracted hours confirmed with her HR suffice??
Any info may just help put her mind at ease.
Thank you for reading...

Yep, that should be fine. They'll be able to get your patner's "normal" yearly salary from payroll, and that's the figure they'll use.poppy100
