Scottishpower refusal

Hello.
I received a final demand from scottishpower today for an amount that I owe them.
So I rang to inform them that I am with Payplan Plus, and they will be offering a repayment figure. However, the gentleman on the phone said that they don't deal with Payplan, the only company that they deal with is the national debt line. To the best of my knowledge the nation debt line doesn't take payments, they just advise. As it was them that recommended Payplan to me.
Could someone please advise what I should do?
Cheers.

Ring any large organisation 10 times, ask the same question, and you will get 10 different answers.
You should not deal with matters like this on the phone, as you always get the monkey, when you really should be talking to the organ grinder.
Contact payplan, as mattye advises, they will write to SP on your behalf, they can go through the correct channels, and there should be nothing to worry about.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. SP's customer service is notoriously poor. Best not to talk to them at all.

Only Npower are worse, and that takes a massive effort to achieve.0 -
Is your current fuel supply with Scottish power? If so they aren't going to agree to anything unless the amount is defaulted.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
