Help - mobile phone debt with orange

I had a contract phone with orange and in 2013 after complaining for months about having no signal at home they agreed to let me out of the contract with no fees as they had taken down a signal mast by my house.

In 2014 I got a letter from Moorcroft for £503 passed on from orange. After lots of phone calls it was agreed that I didn't owe the debt and that was the end of the matter.

Cut to today (another year later!) and I get a letter from Lowell stating I owe £503. Orange say they have no notes on my account about any charged being waived, Lowell say a default has been added to my credit report (I'm in the middle of applying for a mortgage). What can I do? I don't have any letters to say the account is closed without charges.
