MKRR Rapid recoveries final demand

Hi,
I'm in exactly the same position as your partner, I received a final demand letter from MK Rapid recoveries yesterday stating that as I haven't taken up their offers of help my account is being assessed by their pre-legal department and COULD result in them applying to the courts for a CCJ.
The debt they are claiming I owe is 5 years old and I generally thought that it had been settled with a DMP which ended a good few years. Unfortunately for me I have moved a couple of times since and no longer have the paper work from the DMP ending and now I'm insure what to do. Over the years I've been keeping a very good credit file and don't want this jeopardised by a CCJ because I can't prove I don't owe it but I really don't want to get into a credit agreement with MK and start to pay it off again.
Anyway getting to the point, would you mind showing me a copy of your Prove It letter, as I'm really unsure what to write and don't want to get myself into anything else by saying something wrong?
Thank you in advance and finger crossed for your partner

It's not exactly the same position as the OP as you were making payments until 'a good few years ago' (not six). So this will not be statute barred. And this needs a new thread really.
Engaging with them might encourage them. Is this just one letter? Or have they been sending a series of them? Is it definitely and clearly relating to the account that was yours?
The prove-it is in a sticky at the head of this forum and it's here
