Lowell Advice on fraudulent debt

Hi, I wonder if anyone could help/advise? I've had a look around the forum and grabbed a copy of the debt letter that is available, but just wanted to check if I should send it.
I received a letter from Lowells to my parents address out of the blue chasing outstanding payment with shop direct. Knowing nothing about this, I started digging around and also registered with Experian to check my credit report.
My credit report shows 2 fraudulent agreements with shop direct and next, I have spoken to Experian and raised a report on these. They apparently show the wrong dob on them and are at a property I used to live at and subsequently rented out, looks like the tenants did me right over there!
While I wait for Experian to get back to me, should I send the standard letter to Lowells?

Yes send the provit letter to them, may be difficult proving your innocence in this, depends what "proof" they can provide you with.
If you can prove you did not live at that address when any activity took place, that may help, see what they come back to you with first.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thanks, I'm hoping the incorrect details on the agreements and proof of rental agreements may be enough. Should I mention that the debt they are chasing is under investigation with Experian?0

Is this showing on your credit file as Shop Direct and Next, or are they now being reported under Lowells name?
Go to http://actionfraud.police.uk/ make a report, and get a crime number. Quote this in all correspondence.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

It shows on my experian credit file under Shop Direct and Next, Lowells also shows as a separate line. Thanks for the pointer to action fraud, will report it there as well0

In that case tell both Lowells and the original company that it is fraud, and that unless they
- stop pursuing the debt,
- remove all reference from your credit reference files, and
- confirm that the matter is settled
- compensate you for the time and distress caused by this.
that you will...
- Take them to the Financial Ombudsman for reparations and compensation.
- Report them to the Information Commissioner for reporting false and inaccurate information on your credit report.
- Will inform consumer bodies and programs such as the FCA, BBC Watchdog, Rip Off Britain etc of their refusals.
- May consider court proceedings against them to have the information removed from your credit files, and/or defamation.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB
