    Hi

Well done for taking things on board.

You should be able to carve £500 off the expenditure each month. Maybe more. That is half your deficit.

How much WTC/CTC can you get? What does entitled to say?

the absolute short-term priority is to sort the mortgage. Is there anything you can put on e-bay? or do a car boot, although I think some people think that they are freecycle. Kids clothes, kit you no longer use, old toys, an old bike, kitchen gear? You might be able to make enough to get a month's extra together that way. Although I would make sure that you tell them that you are only acheiving this by e-baying stuff.

Can you then look for work to start when the kid's go back to school.

For stuff you need, join the local branch of www.freecycle.org.

  • Hi, I am also new here, just having my light bulb moment this week!! Haven't even begun to pay off debts, just trying to get my head around the amounts and the APRs.

I have seen lots of mention of the 'old style' board, can anyone give me the link to it, can't seem to find it? I have a slow cooker that I've never used which I have just got out of the garage, still in its box!

am one of them on food.

2 adults, 2 little ones and a baby. spend £65.00- £70.00 a week on food, and do eat very well. okay am not working now so able to cook the odd day from scratch. we also checkedthe utswitch board and we are currently on the cheapest.

we got debt and slowly going down each week but my wake up call came last year when I opened up to my hubby and so glad I did. since then we have been extremely careful andpaying off as much as we can.

all the best and keep us updated
