Recommendations for white/cream fitted sheets for small double (4ft)

I never used to have any problem buying decent sheets. The last lot must have lasted quite a while since I can't remember when or where they were bought.

Do any retailers sell these which I could visit who might have a sample? Tesco and M&S only seem to sell full double sizes (4' 6").

The sheets I've just bought from an Amazon retailer were dire despite a good write up, although they were on the cheap side. They started to fluff up, were thin and collected material from any clothes after the first wash. All it says on packet is Polyester cotton 50:50. There is no thread count or thread type, or weave type mentioned.

Has anyone any recommendations? It's only a 6 inches deep mattress but a 9 inch corner fit seems OK.
