Last Pass problem when using Chrome

Options
For the past couple of days I've been getting a pop up when form filling with LastPass on Chrome.

"are you sure you want lastpass to fill your information into this site"

Anyone else getting this? Seriously cramping my comping!!
Thanks to those that post the comps!!

Yes, I don't know if it's a Chrome or LastPass update that has caused it.

It's been like that for a few weeks for me, and is driving me menthol. It shows how much difference one extra click per comp makes. I've tried looking in settings to see if it's something that can be turned off, but haven't found anything yet. Hopefully, they'll suss it and sort it at some point.

I've gone to LastPass facebook page and they've advised to send them a screenshot via a DM.

they asked me to check the following: If you go to the LastPass Icon > Preferences > Advanced menu, is "Warn before filling insecure forms" selected for you?

    It wasn't ticked...
I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the extension.

Perhaps if more of us bug them on Facebook they may realise it's more widespread.

I added a comment to someone else's post about this on FB. Hope they realise it's their issue and look into it.

  • Last pass spontaneously deleted all the info I had ever put into it a couple of days ago; I would not use it or any similar program ever again. My advice is write down your passwords if you can't remember them, and use Chrome's own perfectly adequate form filler.

Reply on FB: "We identified a bug where we were prompted for security reasons even when there was no credit card data to be filled. LastPass asks this in specific cases in order to protect your credit card data, but shouldn't prompt every time. We'll have an update out soon."

Further update from them and a bit more info:

We did reproduce a bug where we were showing this security warning even if a credit card wasn't being filled. This is expected for credit cards but not for other forms - the fix will be out soon so hopefully that will address what you are seeing.

I continue to get this message, but I have found a work around, which has actually made it even quicker to form fill.
    1. Right click on your Last Pass toolbar icon
    2. Select "Options"
    3. Select "Hot Keys" from the left hand side
    4. The last option is "Fill In Default Form Fill Profile" - create a key combination. I used Alt+A.
    5. If you haven't already set up your default profile, choose "General" from the left hand side and select your default from the drop down list

Now I go to comps, press Alt+A and everything completes for me with no warning message. Hope this is useful to others!

I think they've sorted this now. I've just twice clicked to enter my details without getting the 'are you sure' message.

I've been using the keyboard shortcut that ooky84 kindly supplied.

LastPass has also advised to remove LP from chrome and use this link to readd it.

It's now working without the popups.. (well for now anyway!!)
