Need a mortgage

I want to get a mortgage with my mother who is 81. We want to buy the council house we are both living in it for the last 43 years. The mortgage companies are being very difficult because of my mothers age. I will be the payer and I want both names on the mortgage i.e. deeds. Please can you suggest a good bank/building society. It is only a mortgage for 69.000 I am 51 and run my own business and am struggling trying to find a bank/building society to accept this.

You need a broker to look at your circumstances.




However since you own your own company, you need to have 2 years of SA302 and have a decent enough salary/dividends to be desirable.


Do you have this and any debts or bad markers on your credit file?


Your mother is unlikely to be granted due to age, does she have a decent sized pension? Will you be living there?


Why do you want to put your elderly mother on the deeds? When she needs to go to a care home the council could use the house to calculate the care home costs. Perhaps better to put her as a Tenant in common. Does she assets greater than 320k?
