Solar Fitters in Halifax HX5

Options
Hi,

I'm looking for quotes in the Halifax area so does anyone have any recommendations?

Also, my wife is doing a bit of a Mrs Bucket on me and won't entertain panels at the front of the house. My house faces side on to the sun with no shade. How do I actually find out which direction my roof faces (sorry for the stupid question)?

Find your house on Google, it defaults to north at the top of the screen.

Or have a look at suncalc.net, switch to satellite view, find your house and you'll be able to see, approximately, any sun would hit any panels.
Could also be used in tandem with pvgis to show Mrs bucket the difference in money that can be made by using alternative or multiple roofs?

    Good luck!
4kWp, SSE, SolarEdge P300 optimisers & SE3500 Inverter, in occasionally sunny Corby, Northants.
Now with added Sunsynk 5kw hybrid ecco inverter & 15kWh Fogstar batteries. Oh Octopus Energy too.

Great little site. They'd make more sense to be at the rear of the property anyhow by the looks of things.

Or, on a sunny day (we're promised another one tomorrow), bang a stick in the ground and observe where the shadow falls at (true !) Noon (that'll be approx. 13:07 GMT in Halifax). That will indicate True North and you can work out the other directions from that.
