Tricky one: Mortgage transfer without new application?

Hi,
This is a bit of a tricky one... I have my own house (15 yrs), with a small mortgage & about 80k equity in it.
I have a serious illness & now disabled, I have the opportunity to buy the house next door to my parents. (owned by them, but they need to sell it) this would be so much better for me as i need help with day to day living now & live about 10 miles away from them.
I rang Santander to see if they could just transfer my same mortgage to the new address, (meaning, I'd sell mine, give the parents the equity & move the same mortgage I have now on to the house next door to them)
However, because I'm now not working, I get DLA, ESA & the interest paid on my mortgage, they spoke to the underwriters (as its not a straightforward case) & they've said it would be treat like a whole new application & they wouldn't touch me. Despite the fact I have never defaulted on a payment ever, its only about 110£ a month I pay, its always been paid & the fact Ive been on benefits two years its only been the past few months that the interest has been paid by the benefits.(i didn't know they did this & though I was on benefits I covered it myself)
Is there any way around this? The new house is almost twice the value of mine & all I want to do is transfer a 34k mortgage onto a 180k house! Surely its a no brainer..
Any ideas?

When you move house, your old mortgage is repaid from the sale proceeds and a new application made for the new mortgage on the new property.
You cannot transfer a mortgage from one property to another.
You may be able to port the rate from an old mortgage to a new one with the same lender if you qualify, but as you are finding since the MMR this time last year, it has become more difficult to be able to obtain a mortgage and there are very few, if any, lender willing to lend to those whose income is 100% state benefits.I am a mortgage broker. Would your parents be prepared to accept £34k less than what you originally thought you would pay?0

They'd only be getting about 70k of the approx 180k value of the house if I bought it as it stands..
(once I paid them the equity out of mine)
whilst I know theres no way someone on benefits would get a mortgage - I already have one & never even been late for a payment, hence my wondering if there was any way around it, even by means of a guarantor...0
