  • Yeah, thanks for that. I shall. Didn't really want it to take as ling as that but guess there is no other option. Unless of course they respond to the complaint form. We shall see. Cheers for your help.

They will probably reinstate your service if you can scrape together the £122. It's usually only once it is sold to a DCA that it's past that point.

Hopefully they will have noted the account to show there were issues and take that into consideration.

Have you access to skype to call them that way?
  • I have the £122 ready and waiting, it just seems there's no way to get it to them. That's why I'm so annoyed. I'ts just sitting in my account. I font have skype unfortunately but could maybe get if on my phone?? How does it work calling by skype?

  • Hope you get it sorted

If you do and payments are reinstated - set up a direct debit so that a payment can't be missed again.

As mentioned by others already, any such agreements are usually pretty clear that a payment can't be missed - that means at all, they're really not interested in why ..... therefore having a guaranteed method of ensuring the payment will be received (eg d/debit) must be done

Are you a BT customer? Download the BT Smart Talk app as it allows you to make normal telephone calls over your WiFi (usually to avoid 0870 number costs etc).

If not, there must be a similar app you can use...
  • I tried setting up DD just before the bill was produced. It never processed. Not entirely sure why.

No, I'm with Talk talk unfortunately.

Alternatively I presume you have a landline (for broadband), just not a phone, so pop down to currys/tesco/asda and buy a basic landline phone - you can probably get one for under a fiver.

You can't usually have a DD in place with an arrangement but you can do a BACS transfer if you get their details. Usually just sort code, account number and your account number as the reference.
  • Ah that might be why then.
